Mike McDonald Wins the 2nd EPL Main Event
In 2008, Mike McDonald burst onto the poker scene when he won $1,370,161 and the EPT Dortmund championship and remarkably nearly equalled the feat when he finished 5th one year later. How to manage your bankroll
When buying into a table, always make sure you have more than enough of a bankroll to cover the blinds. A good guide is to have 100 times the number of the big blinds in your chip count as a minimum.
If you buy into a poker table where your bankroll is almost the same as the big blind price, you could be forced with the decision of folding, or going all-in when you want to play. You have no opportunity to move in any other way.
It will also be a huge blow when you are forced to pay big blind and your cards aren’t good enough to be in an all-in situation. Fans of Paypal poker sites should remember this.
The problem some players have is they are obsessed with winning big pots, and that is why they look to join the highest staked games possible. They become blinkered with the thought of winning big, and fail to consider the consequences if they lose.

Don’t forget that in cash games, players around the table start the game with different amounts, unlike a level playing field that would occur at the start of a tournament, or a sit and go event. Therefore, if you are on the lowest chip count, you are more vulnerable to players on bigger chip counts who may look to bully you out of the game.

Can Stoke win the Europa League?
Stoke boss Tony Pulis has put Stoke on the map with his excellent managerial skills. He has built a squad that is highly impressive – especially so at home – alongside a solid defensive, with the addition of some decent strikers. Pulis’ best signing during the summer transfer window of 2011, had to be the capture of ex-Tottenham forward, and English international Peter Crouch, who cost the side around £10 million and should add goals to the mix. Stoke are likely to bombard several teams in the Europa League, especially so if Crouch and Kenwyne Jones can form a decent strike partnership. Pulis’ side has improved ten fold in the past couple of seasons. New signing Wilson Palacios will be crucial in any achievements Stoke may have. He’s a great runner with the ball, has a terrific shot, and will most certainly cause problems for the opposing sides across all competitions. So, can Stoke City win the Europa League? It won’t be easy, especially when the Champions League sides enter the tournament. However, if they can stay organised they have every chance of causing problems.
